The event focused on "Close the loop" to promote sustainable and efficient processes in the design industry. "Close the loop" basically means to have a look on the entire process and to close the material cycle from application and recycling to reuse. This includes the application of clay and the high efficient milling of the model as well as collecting and reusing of clay chips. Thus, the entire studio process can be designed more sustainable and efficient. Furthermore, Kolb showcased an AI-based safety system that detects people in the danger zone of machines, and improves human-machine collaboration. Guest lectures by internationally renowned speakers highlighted the importance of physical modeling and the interplay between the digital and physical worlds. In addition, live demonstrations and company tours were offered, and the day ended with Bavarian food, music and the opportunity to network.
